It was such a lovely day until my carriage hit that street rat. My horses could have been injured! People need to clean up the streets and tend to their children! #poor people

I could not agree more. Not only the horses could have gotten hurt, but the money that was thrown back at me, that could have injured me. You would think those peasants would take money off the street when you see it. Oh well, they cannot do anything to us. #Marquis @Marquis

If my horse had been injured my wrath would be even greater than yours. My dappled grays cost me 32,000 francs - how I would hate to see one injured by one of those lowly street rats.

Those peasants weren't even at all concerned for the damage they could have done to my horses. Have they no care for other living beings? Those fools don't care about anything but getting their filthy little paws on money, which they still threw back at me today! What ungrateful people!

I am glad to see that the death of my uncle has brought more happiness than mourning, because he was not very well liked. I did not particularly like him either. Receiving the land was nice, but I fear that what he has done will affect me and my loved ones as well.

In some ways I feel as though the death of my uncle should bring me sadness, but that is not so. I am glad that the death of him has brought happiness to so many and has taken me one step closer to cutting what few ties I still have with the family I want no part of.
